DStv World is not an app, it is a progressive website (more on this here) (hyperlink to explanation of why we don’t have an app) and you don’t need to download an app. Once you are registered and subscribed, add the platform as a web app on your home page of your phone (which will look and act just like a normal app) by following these steps:
- Go to the DStv World page on your browser and login.
- For Apple: Tap on the share button and choose the “Add to Home Screen” option.
- For Android: Tap the menu button and choose the “Add to Home Screen” option in the drop down.
- Enter a name for the shortcut and tap “Add”.
- An icon will appear on your home screen, like any other app shortcut or widget, so you can drag it around and put it wherever you like, just like an app.
